SUNDAY, Sept 29 - Oct 5, 2019

1- 5PM Daily

2PM - Artist talk with wine & cheese

Throughout Women’s Week the Barba Gallery in Palm Springs will feature a special exhibit designed to celebrate the work of the Lesbian art community. The exhibit will feature the work of more than 40 contemporary artists.

There is something to appeal to every artistic taste; oils, pastels, photographs, bronze sculptures, graphite, acrylic, silk, watercolor, ink prints and mixed-media pieces. Some are large, some are small, some bursting with color and others black and white.

This event is made possible by the generosity of Nadine Navarro and

Margie Norris.

The curators for this show are local artist Marlene Cohen and Barba gallery owner Michael Barba.

All Week

This exhibit is sponsored by Lesbo Expo.

An exhibit of 50 photos from the June L. Mazer Archives will be on display all week at the Palm Springs Women’ Club. The exhibit will officially debut at the Opening Night Party on Sunday, September 29.  It may be the largest archive in the world dedicated to preserving and promoting Lesbian culture. It was founded in 1981 and now houses more than 2400 items in its West Hollywood space including photos, videos, posters, personal papers and even old softball uniforms from the 40’s. The collection is named after June L. Mazer, a lesbian activist, who housed the collection in her home for many years in its early days.
