"Divas of the Desert"
The first concert (sold out) begins at Noon at the
Palm Springs Convention Center, and the Second Show starts at 2:30pm.
This concert is a tribute to all the jazz vocalists worldwide who work the clubs every night, keeping jazz alive. They work when it rains or shines, when the pay is good or bad, whether there are ten people or a hundred in the club. They build the audience for the festivals that come to town once a year with the big names on tour. These singers are “our big names” that laid the groundwork for this Festival. We salute their talent and their commitment.
